These sweet lightweight cardigans are perfect throughout spring and summer. Flat knitted 100% bourette silk top, this style is known as a swiss schlüttli and has a side closure that can be worn at the front or the back. Features real pearl buttons and a contrast picot edge detail. Suitable for boys and girls. 

Bourette silk is a thicker and slightly uneven fabric made from the coarser parts of the silk, soft, but not shiny as we traditionally associate silk. It retains all the benefits of silk.  

Untreated spun silk with no chemical treatment. Like wool silk is a protein fiber. It is very fine, smooth, wrinkle-resistant, dimensionally stable and moisture-absorbent. Silk regulates the body temperature, is cooling in hot weather and warming in cold weather. It also has natural anti-inflammatory effects.
